Installer terms
The terms for founding installers, in plain English. Questions? Email hello@asksolar.ie.
Who we are
AskSolar (asksolar.ie) is run by Mawla Ltd, an Irish company. You can reach us at hello@asksolar.ie. These terms apply to founding installers who get introductions from us. Being listed in our directory is separate, free, and doesn't need these terms.
What an introduction is
A homeowner asks AskSolar for a second quote and leaves their county and contact details. If you cover their county, we tell them and ask whether they want to hear from you.
If they say yes, we send you their contact details and what they're after. That is an introduction. You then contact them and quote directly.
When an introduction is chargeable
An introduction counts once the homeowner has said yes and we have sent you their details. We never charge for a homeowner who didn't say yes, and we never send you anyone's details without their OK.
If the contact details turn out to be fake or wrong, tell us within 72 hours of the introduction and we won't charge for it (or we'll credit it if it was already invoiced).
The price
- Your first 3 introductions that a homeowner accepts are free.
- After that, €25 + VAT per accepted introduction, fixed for 12 months from your first paid one. The standard rate is €39 + VAT.
- No subscription. We give 15 days' notice by email of any change.
- We only share a homeowner's details after they accept an introduction to you.
We invoice chargeable introductions by email through our payment provider, Stripe.
How installers are listed for a homeowner
We don't rank installers by who pays, and no installer can pay for a better position. When a homeowner asks for a second quote, we tell them which founding installers cover their county, listed in alphabetical order, and they choose who, if anyone, they want to hear from.
The price check never shows installer names. It checks every quote against the same published rule, and no installer can pay to change a verdict.
Our installer directory is ordered by Google review strength (the rating, weighted by the number of reviews). Being a founding installer doesn't change your place in it.
Looking after homeowner details
Use a homeowner's details only to quote for the job they asked about. Don't add them to marketing lists or pass them on, and delete them if the homeowner asks you to.
Changes to these terms
We'll give you at least 15 days' notice by email before any change to these terms or the price. If you don't want to accept a change, you can leave before it takes effect.
How to leave
Email hello@asksolar.ie and we stop sending you introductions straight away. There's no notice period and no exit fee. You pay only for introductions accepted before you left.
If we decide to stop working with you, we'll tell you why and give you at least 30 days' notice, unless the law or a serious breach of these terms means we have to act sooner.
Complaints
Email hello@asksolar.ie. Dan reads every complaint and replies in writing with what we've done about it.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of Ireland.
